@ShashaSelflove 11/28/17 – Yes You Can

I am not a fan of the holidays, I am a fan of hot chocolate and ice cold weather. So, you take the good with the bad, it is an even exchange for a little bliss. I can’t wait for the holiday music to softy go distant, for nagging persons to stop asking me to reproduce or commit to someone and of course I can’t wait for my email to not be flooded with alarms about sales I must not miss out on.

This time of year we start thinking of plans to come for the year that is approaching.  So many challenges we want to face and project we want to take on. I encourage you to make that list and check it twice. Do you want to go back to school? Find a new job? Dip a toe into the dating scene? I have been attempting to learn French on and off for so many years that this task is permanently on the list. “Learn French” then comes “Go To France”, not one or the other is done. But one day I promise to speak Spanish in Paris and I will smile because one thing made it off the list!

So, if I am saying anthing it is this – regardless of the challenge, you are more than capable. You can do it! Put a plan together, see what resources you need and get to it! Stay positive when it gets hard and remind yourself that you are worth the investment. Like me, I know there is a croissant waiting for me at a cafe, I have to do what it takes to go get it. Stay on course and get where you want to be! Big hug!

  1. I am so pleased to hear about someone else who is fed up and not a fan of the “holidays.” I too am well over it. I do things I have no interest in doing at all. Go to lunches and prepare lunches for people because they say “we must get together before Christmas (I always say, under my breath, “why”). Yes, I want to plan for next year and that is just what I am going to do. Thank you.

    1. The holidays are a very regretful time for me, I see value in spending time with people through the year. Send a card, write a text and you really can’t send them just say a prayer. We don’t need to be kind to one another just because we are told to do so. Thanks for your comment, big hug!

      1. My pleasure Shasha, the older I get the more I look at how we are led to DO stuff just because! There is no rhyme nor reason to it at all. I am a card maker and I send cards to my loved ones all the time, there is no need to wait for a specific date to do so. Being kind is an every day thing. Big Hug back. X
