@ShashaSelflove 12/21/18 – First Lessons

There is nothing wrong with knowing when to toss in the towel. At some point or another you have to remember the saying, “you get what you tolerate”, and in tolerating someone has denied you genuine happiness – what are you doing there? We are often given the message that if you work hard you will be compensated for all of your effort. Not true at all, you are actually just given more work because of your mastery. But I like to see good people win, so let me walk this over to an angle that fits in my lens.

I struggle with my pride and humility when it comes to bowing out. Having had to step up to the challenge many times, the obligation has given me the experience to make a decision clearly and without regrets. And that is the issue, when I have had to painstakingly go over every detail it seems like I was putting effort into a cause that was built to fail. When you have placed so much time and energy into an attempt, you get a sense to stay with it because you have invested so much. Struggling through this all-encompassing – your heart, mind and health reject the idea that this was all for loss.

It wasn’t all for nothing, it was a lesson. The end result was never supposed to be accomplished, the purpose of the experience was to teach you a lesson.  Not giving the message the priority by not letting go makes you lose sight of what you were supposed to learn. There are important details are yours to keep, along your path these new found tools will health shape you into a wiser person, these messages can  only be acquired through the painful parts of your journey. Don’t hold resentment for having to have gone through this part, as you evolve into the next phases of your path the tools that gather help you through the challenges that are up ahead.

Stay positive, hold steady in the knowledge that you are being prepared for many more challenges to come. You can handle anything that is thrown at you, just always trust that you have what you need to push through. You got this! Big Hug!

  1. Such a lovely post. I have to note the last part down to reference to as an affirmation “you can handle anything that is thrown at you, just trust that you will have what you need to push through” – speaks to my soul.

  2. Great advice. I feel it was meant to be having stumbled upon this post right now. I agree, the person with the most mastery is often the one with the biggest pile on their desk at work! My wife and I discuss this often. Important to learn when it is time to ove on from something that has expired, or run its course.
